Location. Hotel Aureus is located in the Old Town of Gdansk, Poland, 600 metres from Gdansk Dworzec Glowny train station. The Zuraw (medieval crane) and Archaeological Museum and the Mariacki Church are within 800 metres of the hotel.
Hotel Features. Occupying several renovated 19th century tenement houses, Hotel Aureus combines old Gdansk architecture with contemporary style, reflected in the chandeliers and decorative wallpaper. A large conference room can accommodate up to 100 people and is equipped with high speed Internet connection. A monitored car park is located in front of the hotel.
Complimentary breakfast is served daily. The hotel restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu is Polish and Mediterranean, including dishes like steak tartar with marinated yellow chanterelles and grilled lime fruit, or spinach salad with avocado and pine kernels.

Expert Tip. Mariacki Church, 800 metres from the hotel, is said to be the largest brick church in the world. It has a Gothic interior and is home to many important pieces of art, including a 15th century astronomical clock, a 16th century altar, and many smaller altars.

From Gdansk Airport (GDN):
Distance to Hotel Aureus is 13 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Taxis are available in front of the main entrance to the passenger terminal and cost about 50 60 PLN to Hotel Aureus. City bus number 110 and city bus line B connect the airport to Gdansk. The bus runs twice an hour on weekdays and once an hour at weekends and holidays. 24 hour tickets are available, as are tickets for 10, 30 and 60 minutes. Tickets can be purchased from the tourist information stand in the arrivals area. A 24 hour ticket costs 9.10 PLN and is valid on all trams, buses and trolleybuses in the Gdansk city area.
Getting around. Gdansk has a well developed public transportation system consisting of trams and buses. The tickets are the same for the trams and buses, and they can be purchased according to the time that you want to use them. The city is easily explored on foot. There is a train station that connects the city to the rest of Poland.
