The Athos Palace Hotel is an all inclusive resort complex set on the Kassandra peninsula overlooking the Aegean Sea, two kilometres from Kallithea with its lively shops, bars and restaurants. The 427 guestrooms have been renovated in 2003 with a contemporary decor in autumnal colours and dark wood furniture. Some have balconies with views of the surrounding pine woods or overlooking the swimming pool and the Aegean Sea. All include air conditioning, cable television, direct dial phones, DVD players, minibars, safes, bathrobes and hair dryers. The all inclusive room rate includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner served in the main restaurant. Also included are snacks, refreshments, local beers, barrel wine and local alcoholic drinks available throughout the day from all bars. Coffees, drinks, cocktails, and juices served from 8 PM to 3 AM in the Tropical Bar.
Guests of the hotel can relax outdoors by the swimming pools and order cocktails from the bar or sunbathe on the sandy beaches and swim in the cool blue waters of the sea. Lunch and dinner are served daily in the buffet restaurant with a choice of Greek and international cuisine and there is also a caf�, gift shop and newsstand. Guests can also access the Internet throughout the public areas for business or leisure use. Children are catered to with a Kid's Club that organises daily activities and adults have an entertainment programme of live shows, discos and cabarets every night. The 24 hour front desk offers sightseeing advice and can arrange babysitting or childcare for those who need it. This is a resort hotel that also has six tennis courts, a basketball court, a beach volley area, two mini golf courses and a fully equipped water sports centre offering anything from scuba diving, to water skiing, to parachuting to banana boat rides and canoeing. For those keen on sight seeing, the Afitos traditional Greek village is 6 kilometres (4 miles) away, the Nea Moudania market town is 25 kilometres (15 miles) away and Petralona (with its caves and museum) is 43 kilometres (26 miles) away.

Taxis are readily available at the airport arrivals terminal and cost approximately 50 EUR to the hotel. Otherwise, you can take the public bus from the airport to Halkidiki station and from there, another bus to Kallithea altogether a two hour journey. To explore the surrounding area, car hire is highly recommended or taxis can be arranged through the hotel.
Driving directions: From the airport, follow the directions for Halkidiki and the town of Nea Moudania. Continue along the motorway for approximately 60 kilometres (36 miles) and cross over the bridge at the Potidea canal. Continue going straight until you pass the Kallithea resort which is only two kilometres before the Athos Palace Hotel.
