Location. The Metropolitan Hansa hotel is located in central Berlin, Germany, 600 metres from the Europa Centre shopping mall and within four kilometres of the Brandenburg Gate. Buses and underground trains depart from Spichernstrasse station, 200 metres away, and Berlin's Tegel Airport (TXL) is 10 kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Situated in a side street, the five storey Metropolitan Hansa combines contemporary decor with a property dating from 1900. Wireless Internet and complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby. Safe deposit boxes are located at the 24 hour front desk where express check in/check out services are in operation and multilingual staff can assist with travel and tourist arrangements. The hotel offers limited complimentary parking.
Breakfast (surcharge) is served each morning in the hotel bistro which has white, minimalist decor and modern furniture. Snacks and drinks are also offered throughout the day.

From Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL):
Distance to the Metropolitan Hansa hotel is 10 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Taxis are available in front of the terminal's lower level and cost about 15 EUR. The number 109 airbus runs to Zoologischer Garten station, which is on the U Bahn (underground system). The X9 is an express airport shuttle, connecting to central Berlin, the main train station, and the Zoologischer Garten U Bahn station. All buses leave from the upper level. Tickets should be validated prior to boarding. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The best way to get around Berlin is to use its public transport system (BVG). Travel on buses, trains, ferries and trams, as well as all U Bahn (underground) and S Bahn (overground) services, is covered by one ticket.
